Yellowstone National Park, A Must See For The Whole Family

Are you looking for a nice trip? Plan a visit to Yellowstone National Park this year. When we want or need to get out to travel, the sights to be seen here in our own United States is amazing. Yellowstone National Park was the first National Park to be established in the world. In 1872 the states of Wyoming, Montana and Idaho donated parts of their territory to establish one of the most beautiful wonders of the world.

Yellowstone Park is the home to a generous bounty of wildlife, some exclusively to the Park itself, Bison, Grizzly bears, elk and wolves are among the larger more predatory type of wildlife. Be sure not to hand feed the animals! The Park has made it possible to preserve many of the breeds of animal that were close to becoming extinct. The animals that live there are just one of the amazing attractions to be found.

From Fort Yellowstone and Lamar and Hayden Valley there is much hiking and camping to do. It is said that the fishing is among the best available. The history of Yellowstone, the actual people that have lived and used the area for survival, goes back 11,000 years. Until about 200 years ago The Native American peoples had lived, raised their families, and used the area as the center for transportation of their goods and services.

Yellowstone is the home of the largest amount of thermal activity in the world. Old Faithful Geyser has been famous for over a hundred years, and the park has made the effort to bring the information firsthand to the entire world. At the Yellowstone National Park Website there is live camera feed that enables us to see the many geysers in action, and we can tune in to these sites anytime we want. Another interesting thermal attraction to visit would be The Mammoth Hot Springs. Enjoy what we have here to see and learn about some of the history of the United States while you're at it.
